The Great Warning
“Those who promise and fail,
I am waiting for you in heaven,”
says the Lord Almighty.
Meaning Of Promise And Fail
“Promise and fail” means that somebody promised to do something, and later failed or refused to fulfill his promise.
The Weight Of God’s Statement
God is not somebody who will say something and fail to do it. The warning “…I am waiting for you in heaven,” is very serious. And no wise man will play with the statement.
God’s statement means that any body that has made a vow should fulfill the vow. The person has a whole lifetime to do what he promised. If he fails to fulfill his vow, he is really in trouble, because the heavens shall hold him guilty.
Proverbially, there is a gully in front of the gate of heaven. Those who are faithful easily cross it, becasue it closes up to let them pass over. But, the hypocrites do not and cannot pass over, because the gully expands beyoud measure as the unfaithfuls approach it. Be warned. You make or mar your own everlasting life.
The Range Of Promise And Fail
Usually, when ‘promise and fail’ is mentiuoned, people think of those who promised marriage and refused to marry the person they promised to. That is true. But there are many more that are involved. They include:
- The man who promised to marry a girl and later refused to do so.
- The girl who accepted to marry a man and later refused to do so.
- The master who promised to train somebody, but refused to send him off as worthwhile.
- The servant who promised to serve his master for a number of years, but later refused to complete the number of years agreed upon.
- Those who abandon their agreements because they have seen better ones.
- Those who pledged to do something, and failed to fulfill the pledge.
- Those who ask you to call him on phone, but do switch off the phone or refuse to answer the call.
- The woman who promised to take care of a maid, but instead maltreats the maid.
- Those who adopts a child, but do abandon such child immediately they get their own biological child.
- Transporters, who change route in order to increase fare. Among this group are the okada riders.
- The citizens of a country, especially the office workers, who sing their national pledge, but act to the contrary.
- Government that are changing policies from time to time, thereby destabilizing corporate organizations.
- Politician who use their manifesto to win elections, and fail to fulfill their promises.
- Those who proclaim the rule of law, but are always swindling the law behind the court.
- Traders, who substitute one article for another without telling the buyer.
- Landlords and tenants who break agreements when the agreement does not favour them.
- The sales agents at the filling stations, who change meter readings.
- Sellers who use the wrong scale or measurement in attending to people.

- Public officers who do not live by their oath of office.
- Individuals who live false life, pretending to be what they are not.
- Those who claim to be saying the truth but are telling lies.
- Those who leave their purpose of coming to earth to do whatever suit them for the moment. Such people do say ‘If you can’t beat them, join them.’ Terribly, it is dangerous to follow the trends and fashions, because everybody has his one purpose and time for coming to the world. All times are not the same.
That is why God warns, “If multitudes commit sin, do not join them.”
- Etc.
Be Warned!
You should take God’s message and warning serious, because the light you see everyday is a spiritual video recording whatever you think , do or say. That is why no film and video production is possible without light.
